Trial for Tim Martin

Tim Martin has not pled (legally) guilty to his involvement in the Little Dancer action, so he will go to trial, starting on November 19th, and likely going til November 21st. Come in person to show support, if you can— it can really help how things will go down here— but always prioritize doing more nonviolent civil disobedience on the climate emergency, if you can’t do both that and attend this trial.

It will be in court room #25.

What are our responsibilities at this time?

At 12 Hiroshima’s of heat added per second to ocean and air, 300,000 years of human progress has begun to buckle from impacting the invisible, immovable object of carbon pollution, taking human civilization, without seatbelts, through the windshield of Hothouse Earth.

DE Intro Talk Online

What are our responsibilities at this time? Because of the fossil fuel industry's promotion of unhealthy stories that blind us from our true relationships with each other and the rest of the natural world, we are facing horrors of a magnitude never before experienced in our human existence. Current levels of greenhouse gases add over 13 exploded Hiroshima bombs of heat to our atmosphere every second of every day. This is enough to accelerate Global Mean Surface Temperature to 8°C above preindustrial averages in our children’s lifetime, which means game over for humanity and much of the living world. Yet our government continues to lead us to the edge of no return. We must organize ourselves in nonviolent civil resistance to accelerate the democratic reorganization of the social, physical and biological systems that keep us in healthy relationship with each other and the natural world if we want a chance to survive. Our methods must be publicly disruptive and nonviolent to grow the movement large enough to win. Our actions are evidence-based, credible, and we have a plan. The next step is to include YOU!

Intro to Declare Emergency: Online

What are our responsibilities at this time? Because of the fossil fuel industry, we are facing horrors of a magnitude never before experienced in our existence. Current levels of Greenhouse Gases add 10 nuclear bombs worth of heat to our atmosphere every second of every day. Enough to accelerate Global Mean Surface Temperature to 8°C in our children’s lifetime.

That’s Game over.

Sadly, our government continues to lead us to the edge of no return. We must stand up and defend ourselves in service to the rest of the living world which we’re interdependent on.

No one else is going to do it. It must be us if we want to avoid extinction.

To turn this around our methods must be publicly disruptive and nonviolent. Our actions are evidence-based, credible, and we have a plan. The only thing missing at this point is YOU!

So please join us for an introduction to this critical work, a converstation about how you can put your skills and passion to work for people and planet.

This event will be held online via Zoom on Sunday, 5-6pm EST.
