What are our responsibilities at this time?
Because of the fossil fuel industry's promotion of lies that blind us from our true relationships with ourselves, each other and nature, we are facing horrors of a magnitude never before experienced in our human story. Current greenhouse gas levels haven’t been this high in 33 million years when Gaia was coming out of “Hothouse Earth” conditions. Now Earth’s Energy Imbalance is forcing over 13 exploding Hiroshima bombs worth of heat to be added to our atmosphere every second of every day. This is enough to accelerate Global Mean Surface Temperature back to Hothouse Earth Conditions in our children’s lifetime, which means population collapse for humanity and much of the living world. Yet our government continues to service US Empire’s endless war against fabricated enemies for endless economic growth which is driving the polycrisis. Let’s get organized for valiant nonviolent revolution in pro-democractic, pro-social and pro-ecological formation to reorganize the economy to work for sufficient thriving for everyone while staying within planetary boundaries.
