Intro to Declare Emergency (Meeting in Person, Raleigh, NC.)

  • Hibachi & Co 2316 Hillsborough Street Raleigh, NC, 27607 United States (map)

What are our responsibilities at this time?

Because of the fossil fuel industry, we are facing horrors of a magnitude never before experienced in our existence. Current levels of Greenhouse Gases add 10 nuclear bombs worth of heat to our atmosphere every second of every day. Enough to accelerate Global Mean Surface Temperature to 8°C in our children’s lifetime.

That’s Game over.

Sadly, our government continues to lead us to the edge of no return. We must stand up and defend ourselves in service to the rest of the living world which we’re interdependent on.

No one else is going to do it. It must be us if we want to avoid extinction.

To turn this around our methods must be publicly disruptive and nonviolent. Our actions are evidence-based, credible, and we have a plan. The only thing missing at this point in time is YOU!

So please join us for an introduction to this critical work, a converstation about how you can put your skills and passion to work for people and planet, and of course of a good meal (provided by us).

This event is being held in person on February 8th, 7-8pm EST.
